CROP CIRCLES AND NASCA LINES - WHAT THE ?

The question as it was posed:
Going through your posts has been very re- assuring. Could you please write about crop circles, nasca lines - such geometrical designs of great magnitude...They baffle me.

This question is not so unusual, since many of you are looking for proofs of extraterrestrial life, ghosts, spirits, and other para normal and supernatural occurrences.

In a way this is not unusual, since man has always sensed the existence of something more than that which meets the eye, so to speak. The human species sought out these non-physical, seemingly supernatural phenomenon since the era of the cave man and searched for realities that appeared to be below the perceptions of the natural man. He created his gods in his minds eye in his search for understanding There is something fascinating about mysterious things that you don’t understand. You all want to believe that the earth has been visited by alien beings, and it has, but aliens did not create the Nasca Lines or the Crop Circles.

For those of you who are not up to date on Crop Circles and Nasca Lines, the following are the Wickapediadefinitions. The Crop Circles explanation speaks for itself, so I will discuss the Nasca Lines here.

The Nazca Lines: are a series of ancient geoglyphs located in the Nazca Desert of Peru. That has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The high, arid plateau stretches more than 50 mi. between the towns of Nazca and Palpa on the Pampas de Jumana. Although some local geoglyphs resemble Paracas motifs, scholars believe the Nazca Lines were created by the Nazca culture between 200 BCE and 700 CE. The hundreds of individual figures range in complexity from simple lines to stylized hummingbirds, spiders, monkeys, fish, sharks or orcas, llamas, and lizards. The lines are shallow designs made in the ground by removing the ubiquitous reddish pebbles and uncovering the whitish ground beneath. Hundreds are simple lines or geometric shapes; more than seventy are designs of animal, bird, fish or human figures. The largest figures are over 660 ft. across.

Crop Circles: In 1991, two men from Southampton, England, announced that they had conceived the idea as a prank at a pub near Winchester, Hampshire, during an evening in 1976. Inspired by the 1966 Tully Saucer Nests, Doug Bower and Dave Chorley made their crop circles using planks, rope, hats and wire as their only tools: using a four-foot-long plank attached to a rope, they easily created circles eight feet in diameter. The two men were able to make a 40-foot (12 m) circle in 15 minutes.

There is one thing that the Nasca Lines and Crop Circles have in common, they are and were made by humans not aliens visiting this planet with intent to confuse the poor ignorant savages of the times by leaving symbols that would have meaning only to those indigenous people of the Pampas. I know you would prefer if I said that they were made by aliens visiting earth in space vehicles in ancient times who were seen as gods, but such is not the case. The Nasca Lines were made by the inhabitants of the Nasca region at that time and they were far from ignorant savages. These people were not stupid by any means and their culture, although undeveloped in politics and the sciences, were to some extent, more in tune with the true potentials of the harmonious, integrated characteristics of the human species than you are today.

These peoples understood the mobility of consciousness and the connections of the outer self with the inner subjective self that could not be expressed in the physical body. Their religions were more to the point than yours today, in that they did not look to finding God outside of themselves thorough intermediaries with golden robes, holy water and promises of salvation, and may I add, with questionable motives. This understanding was shortsighted in one way because although they did rely on their pursuit of their deities through their own cognisance and understanding, sometimes those pursuits led them astray.

The Nasca people saw the stars in the skies, wondered at the comets and the movement of the planets, they endured the thunder and violent storms emanating from the heavens, the tornadoes, the hurricanes and floods and believed that these were punishments from and angry God. They also luxuriated in the warmth of the sunshine and knew that it was a gift from their God. So, they did what you still do today, they assumed that their God resided somewhere, somehow in the skies, perhaps relaxing on a cloud and so they paid homage to the unknown reality of a god who was UP.

Your evangelistic religions and other religions too numerous to mention, still today, practice raising your eyes and arms to the skies when you pray, not understanding any more than these peoples of 100 BC to 600 AD, that in a vast universe, the words up or down are meaningless, where up becomes down and sideways is everywhere and “All That Is” is infinite. In that respect, you too are primitive, and have progressed precious little since those ancient times in your pursuits of religion. God could just as well, live DOWN as UP and you could kneel and spread your arms sideways to pay homage to your God as well as stare at and raise your arms to the sky in praise.

Now, your tacit refusal to take the responsibility for your own spiritual development, in your reality does you no real long term harm, but how long are you going to languish, mired in distorted and false beliefs before you begin a search for understanding of real truths? Rhetorical question of course.

This is not an article about God, but I can’t pass up an opportunity to mention one of those things that I have said again and again, at this stage of the evolution of your species, there are truths that you KNOW but you don’t KNOW that you KNOW, so I will take the liberty now to remind you of one of them. God surrounds you on all sides, not just up, He touches you in the breath of the summer breeze that touches your cheek from the sides. He resides in the sand between your toes on an isolated beach down under your feet..

God smiles within the smile of a loved one, and within the adoration of your favorite pet that touches your deepest emotions from the inside. So why do you still assume that God lives on a cloud, sitting on some golden throne in heaven? Here is what you KNOW that you do not allow yourself to really know; there is no heaven as you think of it, but God, my friends, is everything that is NOT YOU, and everything that IS YOU. (This hints that all consciousness, not only human, but the consciousness of all living things, carries a touch of Divinity within its very being.

Of course, many of you are going to say, “I KNEW THAT”, and indeed you did, so why are you like sheep; being led by those who perpetuate myths and legends that are worn out and highly disadvantageous to your spiritual progress.

These primitive beliefs served their purpose for the children and the natives, but you are no longer children or natives and they were never meant to be leaned on forever like some spiritualistic crutch to save you from eternal damnation. You are meant to evolve beyond children’s tales and to begin to understand the true nature of God and your reality.

Now, back to the Nasca Lines. Since much powerful, natural phenomenon seemed to come from the skies, and since the Nasca peoples were very creative and had at their disposal, a wonderful natural source for creative expression in the rocks and earth of the Peruvian Pampas, they naturally came upon the idea to honor these heavenly gods by creating works of art in the earth that could be viewed from space. Since these gods were seen as powerful, they translated this powerfulness as bigness and since such powerful examples of destruction came from the mysteries of the heavens, it was only natural that they would assume that the gods resided somewhere UP in space.

So, it seemed perfectly sensible to create big, large works of art as offerings that could be seen from their gods in space. In short, the Nasca lines are images created to honor those all powerful gods and in a way, the Peruvian Pampas is their natural museum containing their work as offerings to their gods.

There is another reason that has never been mentioned. Since these indigenous peoples were not hampered with a rigid, unyielding ego consciousness as you are today, they were far better at utilizing the dream state as a launching pad for the projection of their consciousness out of the body for purposes that were quite taken for granted in those times, for they understood the co-operation of the inner and exterior abilities in equal balance of a properly tuned consciousness. In very practical terms, they did much of their work in the dream state, projecting their consciousness “out of their body” above the surrounding countryside, finding new sources of water and food and migration routes of the animals.

You do this today in your seeming “lucid dreams”, but the knowledge of your nightly dream excursions has gone underground, where the Nasca peoples used this ability consciously and with much facility and satisfaction. This ability of the human personality to release its consciousness from the domination of the ego centered human body for short periods of time, is a natural attribute that you too use, but usually don’t remember. Since it is normally, but not always, done from the dream state, you usually don’t remember it the next day upon awakening. When you consider a friend in the dream state, you sometimes actually project your astral form to their presence, this form sometimes can be seen or felt by them, and sometimes not. Some will remember your visit in the morning, but not remember exactly how or why.

The Nascans had the ability, using the dream state and states of “altered consciousness” to project their consciousness into the heavens to great heights above the earth, and view the earth below with some discernment. They would share these dream observations with others within the tribe, comparing notes, so to speak, and making decisions and adjustments based on those observations. In that manner, they were able to appraise the progress of their massive artistic creations from an advantageous perspective and make necessary corrections when needed. They then, had the ability to appreciate their massive creations in ways you do not.

For the record, there are ancient lost aerial maps of areas of the world that still exist today that used precisely this method of “out of body projection” drawn centuries before any known method of flight existed.
