Now This Is Happiness
There have been countless books written about finding
happiness. Everyone seeks happiness whether or not they realize it. Happiness
is a natural state of being and in that sense, anything less is not normal for
humans, animals or even plants. A houseplant placed in the shade when the sun
shines in a close by window, is not a happy plant.
The good news is that recent research has determined that
after one achieves a certain state of well being and self sufficiency, of being
assured of a comfortable state and not having to worry about normal
health, relationship or financial issues, that adding more of the same is not
only redundant but does not improve a feeling of well being or happiness one
iota. In other words, enough is enough and more doesn't improve life's
enjoyment or pleasures. That holds true in all aspects of earthly life.
Animals have a distinct advantage in that regard since they
are not bound up in intellectual matters, as are humans, so they are quite able
to experience their whole life in what would be considered a natural state of grace. Animals do not
anticipate the future, nor do they remember and worry about the past in the way
humans do, so you can understand why they have such an advantage in a more
immediate, intensive and expansive present experience without the complications
of the ego identification. Animals and plants have no ego to deal with.
Humans on the other hand have a much more complicated life
to encounter beginning at birth, sometimes the complications being of a
negative nature. These negative complications can include such things as
financial problems, health issues, relationship difficulties, and other
psychological difficulties that animals simply do not have to deal with. But
humans do.
Life is easy if you
know how to do it.
Barring any "carryover negative challenges" that
you bring into this life from previous life experiences, lives that you have
lived in other times and other places, you pretty much open your eyes for the
first time after birth as a really small human being, vulnerable and totally
dependent on your parents for your very survival, devoid of previous knowledge
and experience.
Chances are that you have lived before and your present life
in this physical world is affected in nuanced ways by a variety of past
experience from past-reincarnated lives, probable selves, soul-mate selves and
traits and abilities or lack thereof inherited from your present parents.
You also bring (unconsciously) into this life all of the
knowledge and information that you have learned over centuries of association
with your Soul/Entity. This knowledge is not consciously available to you for a
variety of reasons but it can appear intuitively through hunches, inspiration,
impulses, and imagination and also in your dream adventures. Unconsciously, you
frequently rub elbows with your probable selves as other characters appearing
in your dream dramas.
Mentally, nothing is ever lost and the very first tidbit of
knowledge that you learned in whatever past life in whatever era is retained as
what could be considered as "instinct", embedded in your genes in
this lifetime, known, but not consciously available for practical purposes. The
physical brain does not contain this knowledge, the conscious mind does.
You have a history of varying life experiences behind you even
before you are born into your present physical body. I want to now dismiss
these instances that I mentioned describing people who are born, with what I
call negative reincarnational baggage,
bringing along unsolved challenges from past lives into this life with the
purpose of resolving them in this present life.
These problems can be solved, dealt with and dismissed,
except in the case of permanent illness, disfigurement, lack of a limb and so
forth that you were born with. Any illness that you are born with, you
purposely created and accepted as a condition of this life challenge and will
usually be with you during this entire life, but remember, you created the
challenge to learn how to overcome such difficulties.
Assuming that you were born with a healthy body, you were pretty much home free at least for a
short time after birth. The human body is a gestalt consciousness, made up of
millions of small consciousnesses of the atoms, molecules and cells that
compose the larger physical components of your corporeal self, and the
corporeal self has built in defenses against illness and disease.
These small cellular consciousnesses make up what is called
the gestalt "body consciousness". The body consciousness takes care
of the functioning of the unconscious bodily activities such as breathing,
heartbeat and perception. If you had to think yourself to breathe, you would
quickly learn of the importance of the body consciousness. If you had to think your
heart to beat, you would be in dire straits indeed.
Your cells know what is going on with every other cell in
your body at any particular time and they make adjustments to right any
out-of-balances that may occur. This corrective ability is commonly referred to
the body immune system. Your body consciousness, in cooperation with your
self-directive conscious personality, work together smoothly to create a
satisfying life experience.
Cellular co-operation keeps the body healthy to the extent
that you do not mentally sabotage the process. The problem is that almost
immediately after birth as an infant you begin to learn and accept beliefs of
others and each subjective belief affects the infant in various ways
physically.
I mention these things only to point out that your body,
from the lowliest cell to the brain's highest order of intellectual acuity, barring
any reincarnational baggage, is born perfectly healthy and able to care for
itself. It is in a natural state of bodily equilibrium. You cannot have a full,
happy life experience if you are sick.
Wellness is one of the prime conditions of happiness and it
is a birthright of all consciousness including plants and animals. This may
sound stupid, but humans, animals and plants can sense a state of happiness
too, although in different emotional appreciation.
Assuming you were given a healthy body at birth and assuming
that you learned nothing and accepted no detrimental beliefs during your
lifetime, you would be healthy until your death. Your physical body and
personality is a mental creation,
projected from an inner subjective reality into the three dimensional physical
system (Earth Reality) for a given length of time under certain pre-understood and
pre-agreed upon conditions.
You are what you think
you are, no more or no less, so it behooves you to think well of yourself.
I am saying that you existed before your birth and you will continue to exist
after your death. Consciousness is not dependent on a physical body as a
condition of existence. Consciousness is eternal, physical bodies are not. You
shed physical bodies as a snake sheds a it's skin, and as a snake grows new
skin, you grow new bodies.
Before your birth, you made pertinent decisions that
resulted in the body that you were born with; you chose it, it's strengths and
it's frailties for reasons of your own design for purposes known only to your
inner self and you and you must deal with it.
I am saying that your corporeal physical self, the YOU that
you call by your adopted name was not born into sickness or unhappiness through
some quirk of fate, or some arbitrary and fickle god, but is an accurate
reflection of a mental process bringing matter into a perfect reflection of
your inner directive.
You are then, what you created yourself to be. Through
mental processes you created the pattern that physical matter takes that
resulted in the physical form that you see in the mirror every day. You are
your own creator. If you don't like what you have created, you can make adjustments
and changes by changing how you think about yourself. There is no other way.
You cannot blame what you are or your life circumstances on
anyone else but yourself. Neither God
nor fate brought about your present state of being. You are the culprit, and
the good news is that since you bear full responsibility for your state of
being, you can also change it. Conscious energy is in a constant state of
change, and your job is to steer the changes in a more beneficial direction for
your satisfaction and fulfillment.
The energy behind thought, belief, desire and expectation
propels itself into matter, atoms coalescing into concrete physical form
directed by consciousness. Consciousness creates and manipulates matter.
Depending on the intensity of those qualities, physical matter can disappear
quickly as in the incredibly short life of a fruit fly or stick around for a
very long time, as evidenced by the life of some of the larger turtles,
sometimes living into several hundred years.
I regret that I must spend so much time setting the scene
for explanations that you expect, but if I did not do so, these difficult
concepts would be impossible for you to make any sense of. I think I have gone
as far as I need to with the background, so that I can now begin the subject at
hand, happiness.
From even before you were born, you were learning from your
parents. The fetus perceives from the womb, can see and hear through the
mothers stomach lining and begins even then to adapt to its parents lifestyle.
It learns in a rudimentary way what the parents already know. Of course, this
learning process continues after birth and is a necessity for the survival of
the child well into its formative years.
The knowledge that the child receives from its parents was
never meant to be permanent and the beliefs that the child adopted from the
parents were meant to be examined and changed when necessary. The parent's
beliefs were needed for survival during the child's early years, but they were not
to be eternal.
This will come as a shock to some reading this article, but
parents beliefs are not always correct or beneficial and certainly not a valid
template to structure a life around. Frankly, some children have rather
ignorant parents, intellectually stunted where it comes to life's ideal living conditions.
What I am inferring here is that your beliefs, even those
inherited from your parents can be detrimental when it comes to using them as a
template around which to construct a happy life. Your life is a reflection of
your inner beliefs about yourself and if your inner beliefs about reality are
distorted or reflect negative ideas and concepts, your life experience will also
be distorted and unhappiness will result.
I am trying here to stress the importance of "what you believe" in the creation
of a fulfilled and happy personal life. The distorted beliefs that you harbor
may not seem relative in any way to the lacks that you are experiencing in your
life, so it may be difficult to link them with any particular problem in your
corporeal life.
Imagine if you will, at birth a clear, straight,
unencumbered path lies ahead, unobstructed by false or distorted beliefs.
Imagine negative beliefs as rocks, obstructions or potholes, roadblocks in the
path of life. At birth that pathway is clear and there are few negative beliefs
except for the few minor ones accepted from you parents. At some time as you grow
into adolescence, you are meant to examine the beliefs, especially if you are
experiencing difficulties in your life.
Your life is structured around beliefs about existence that
you accept from others, such as teachers, clergy, scientists, philosophers,
politicians and medical professionals.
It may seem scandalous, but some of the most detrimental
beliefs come from religious dogma having to do with sin, damnation, hell, Satan
and Jerry Falwell's favorite, "the
Lake of Fire". The concept of "original
sin" or "being left behind" can be paralyzing to people
indoctrinated in those beliefs, instilling a feeling of inadequacy or not
measuring up.
On television, you are pelted with advertisements from drug
companies extolling the benefits of their miracle drugs designed to keep you
healthy, sometimes from illnesses that you didn't even know existed. Public information advertisements tell women
to inspect their breasts or get your colostomy regularly, and line up for your
flu shots along with other almost mandatory immunizations. Flu shots do not
protect you from the flu; the belief in flu shots protects you from the flu.
I mention these as examples how beliefs are foisted upon you
and are accepted through a process of mental osmosis without you ever knowing
why, unconsciously accepting the advice of others without regard to its
validity. You pick up many of your most detrimental beliefs without ever
knowing you are doing so.
Each new belief can be like another albatross hanging about
your neck, dragging you down. Most of these beliefs that you unconditionally
accept can begin to comprise your happiness with distorted, unhealthy beliefs
that obstruct the free flow of natural universal energy causing blockages and difficulties
in the creation of natural healthy physical reality.
Remember, subjective thought, beliefs, desires and
expectations will materialize themselves into the physical world that you
experience every day. Exterior reality coalesces from an interior subjective
state; subjective becomes objective, physical reality is the result.
You literally think yourself into existence and you think
yourself into either happiness or misery. It's your call; the right to a happy
life is your heritage in your world unless you abdicate your responsibility. If
you are lazy about examining your beliefs, you can be in for big trouble. As
you think you shall become.
It's not so much like you have to learn to do something;
it's more like what you have to learn not to do. You simply have to learn how
to open the doors to let you natural state of being flow unobstructed, without
burdening it with out-of-synch beliefs. In other words, you must keep the
channels clear and unobstructed.
Clear the mental pathways and reduce impediments by
jettisoning dysfunctional, defective or distorted beliefs and the road to
happiness will be clear for new beneficial beliefs to flow and true happiness
will replace old impediments.
In other words, you were given a clear path at the beginning
of your life, but you began to clutter it with dysfunctional mental baggage
from a variety of sources and look what happened. Get rid of the junk, then get
out of the way and your life will begin to improve almost immediately.
Don't automatically accept what you are told by others,
don't trust everything you hear, trust your inner intuitional knowledge and you
won't go astray. If your life is screwed up, rest assured, your beliefs are
screwed up. Beliefs always come first, reality follows.
It's that simple.

Hi William!!! This is Archer. Your fan, follower, reader,... etc.
I just read about Robert Lanza's research. This comment is not 'comment'. I just wished to share this with you and I don't know how else.
I am so glad about everything he is saying. We are on 'that' path!!
My excitement will make sense after you read the following:
"Quantum mechanics and other rules of quantum physics prove that there is an afterlife, according to scientist Robert Lanza. Lanza is a physicist who recently proposed the theory of “biocentrism.” This theory states that humans are eternal beings who have created the concept of life and death with our own consciousnesses and that death actually does not exist; we only think it exists because it’s what we have collectively come to believe. Humans create the universe with our consciousness, not the other way around, Lanza says.
To illustrate his theory of an afterlife, Lanza uses the famous and well-known “double slit experiment.” This test proves that all matter can act as a wave, and as such can exist simultaneously in multiple places, but is only perceived to be a singular unit of movement when it is watched by humans. In other words, only our consciousness-our perception-makes the particle behave like a linear object. When the particle is not watched by the human eye, it acts like a wave and passes through multiple slits simultaneously.
This experiment, Lanza says, is the key to our understanding of how our consciousness creates what we perceive to be reality. In this way, his theory is parallel to the theoretical idea of multiverses. There are some theoretical physicists who believe that we exist not just in one universe, but in a possibly infinite number of multiple universes; and that everything that could possibly happen-every scenario that could possibly be imagined-is happening simultaneously in another universe starring us; we just don’t know it.
Lanza says we create everything around us and that death is simply an illusion that we have also created. He says that each person is a “perennial flower that returns to bloom in the multiverse,” and that “Life is an adventure that transcends our ordinary linear way of thinking. When we die, we do so not in the random billiard-ball-matrix but in the inescapable-life-matrix.” This happens, he adds, through the theory of biocentrism and the workings of quantum mechanics. Lanza has written a book about his findings entitled Biocentrism: How Life and Consciousness Are the Keys to Understanding the True Nature of the Universe."
Hmmm
I do believe that i have been writing about those concepts for years.....big smile
